Jobin Chandi: The Journey from Glamour to Compassion
Jobin Chandi is a multi-dimensional man born in 1989 in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh. He was a model and a committed social worker who made an enormous impact in both spheres. He is known for an incredible journey from the glamorous world to the path of service. Jobin’s life purpose has been transforming into alleviating the pain of those around him. Equipped with a Commerce degree from Delhi and a Financial Post Graduate qualification from Meerut University, he has also studied a Law degree and a Master of Social Work from Ruhelkhand University. While an excellent academician by background, it is his love for humanity and compassion that most characterizes his life.
Education Background and Early Modeling Career
Like his career, Jobin’s educational life is as variegated. While initially attracted by the glitter of the glamour world, he carved himself a niche in modeling. Jobin featured in thousands of advertisements produced by Bollywood on garments and products and was soon at the forefront of the modeling world. Glamour could not hold him there, however. Jobin found out that his call was to be elsewhere—from people and their problems which needed compassion and help.
Turning Point: A Social Working Stint
Jobin Chandi had an inner realization in order to pursue work for social causes.
This boy used to see the agonized situation of the poor around him. He felt closer to such needy people and took all this upon himself. Now he was ready to renounce his modeling career to enter into these underprivileged people’s lives along with the homeless, elderlies, and distressed animals. Jobin Chandi’s love for helping others brought hope to nearly 200 people who suffered from life-threatening and incurable diseases, such as HIV and other chronic diseases. He believes that he is the world, and his face reflects the countenances of those who suffer. He says that if seeing his face has inspired others to alleviate that pain, then his purpose is fulfilled.
His personal mission, “Converting Pain into Smiles,” encapsulates his dedication to turning sorrow into joy for thousands of individuals. Whether it is a poor family in need of assistance, a stray animal needing a roof over its head, or an aged person requiring companionship, Jobin is there to lend support. This empathetic approach has made him a darling in all the communities that he serves.

Helping others should not be charity for him but a way of bringing light and happiness into dark parts of society.
